Hello All,
Here is a picture of my Avatar that I use in Second Life. I had already had an Avatar created from a previous class but I decided to modify him a little bit for this assignment.
My Avatar really looks a lot like myself in real life with a few changes that I guess I wish I possessed in real life. His eyes are blue like mine. His hair is brown like mine. I tried to make the facial features as accurate as I could to my real life self. I have changed my Avatar's clothes from what I have been wearing to a comfortable pair of jeans, a long undershirt, and a t-shirt. I have given my Avatar a bookbag to represent my "student" aspects of life.
Things that I have changed about my Avatar that are inaccurate to my real life image include height and body build. My Avatar is a cool 6'3 in Second Life. In real life, I am only 5'10. Body wise, my Avatar is more muscular than I am in real life. I weigh a 170 pds. in real life and have lost pretty much all the muscle I had in college when I had to work out and lift for baseball. My Avatar is 190, about 20 pounds of muscle that I have lost since college. The good news, I am gaining much of the weight back that I lost since I graduated from college in 2006. The bad news is that all of this weight is fat and not muscle. :) I look forward to checking out everyone else's Avatars and I hope you enjoy the rest of your week.
Andrew
Hi Andrew! I feel the same way about my avatar, she is more how I would like to look than how I am in real life. My plan is to really hit the gym hard after graduation. ;-)

I like the pic Andrew. I too have the same problem with my avatar - its more muscular than I am! But it is nice to relive youth through the benefits of Second Life technology. Good Job!
ReplyDeleteNice piture of your avatar. I guess that's the fun of Second Life... being able to create the avatar in the image of how we all may have looked or wanted to look like.
ReplyDeleteHello Andrew, Thanks for all your help in SL. Your avatar looks good!!
